I became interested in becoming a personal financial planner while I was teaching finance at Northern Arizona University right after obtaining my MBA. I took a detour into the nonprofit world for 10 years, but decided to change careers and become a financial planner.
I started Stratton Advisors in 2005 and built a practice focused on helping people achieve financial independence through a proactive, comprehensive planning program. I embraced the Alliance of Comprehensive Planners' approach of integrated tax and financing planning.
After transitioning Stratton Advisors to a different firm, AIO Financial, in 2021-2022, I am now mostly retired and an emeritus member of ACP.
